Words have power, words can direct our lives, the law of attraction proves that the words we use for ourselves have a direct impact on the quality of our lives. The way you view yourself in your eyes can either make you or break you, the actions you take every day will define you.
If you’d never in a million years say the words that you’re using to criticize yourself with every single day, to your best friend, then there’s really no reason to keep saying those things to yourself, right? So, why do you get in the trap of negative self-talk?
What about the ‘Bad things’ of life?
Why do you say bad things to yourself when something goes wrong? Why everything that happens is seen as a tragedy, but not as an experience or a lesson? Yes, there are bad things in life, but I look for the good. Treat yourself as your best(est) friend and tell yourself what you’d tell your best friend, make yourself feel appreciated.
We will talk about some things you should never say to yourself, never in a million years.
Life isn’t fair, only if things were better
There will always be good and bad moments in your life at any given time. It’s never too late to change your life, the irony of life is that the failure is not a step backward, it’s a step forward, a step forward towards success. About you being lucky? Well, the harder you work and the longer you work, the luckier you’re going to be, the same is with the opportunities.
If you’re thinking you’re wasting opportunities or you’re not able to make the most out of them, it’s okay. However, the more opportunities you pursue, your ‘luck’ will shine in at least one opportunity.
Don’t sit around waiting for it fall into your lap, no, no, no that’s never gonna happen. So, life is not unfair, it’s just our broken idea of fairness.
It’s too hard
Never use these words for yourself
Are you quitting before even starting? Are you finishing your race before you even started running?
I believe in the power of words and how our mind reacts to those words, so if you’re planting the seeds of defeat don’t expect victory as a result. You reap what you sow, so make sure to sow the seeds of confidence, love, passion, gratitude not the seeds of self-doubt, envy, jealousy.
If there is anything you should quit is to quit using excuses for why you can’t have it and start telling yourself how you can make it.
See, let’s face the reality you’re not the first person to turn everything around, there have been a lot of people who have achieved the impossible, so what’s stopping you or who’s stopping you? Probably, you’re stopping you.
I hate my body
You know what, on an average, the human heart beats for around 2 billion times in a lifespan, furthermore your body is constantly trying to keep you alive, so what gives you right to say “I hate my body?”
There is no reason to hate your body, fat or thin doesn’t matter, what’s on the inside is what matters more. No one is perfect, stop chasing perfection, the world needs more people with a good heart and soul, not just with the good looks.
Looks can fade away, however, the impact you make on another person’s life will never fade away, so always be kind and do good and find yourself attractive in a unique way.
And yes, please, don’t say that you’re not attractive. Whether you’re curvy, skinny or muscular is irrelevant, your body is a glorious vessel that carries you everywhere you go in this world.
This is not it, I will come up with more points on this topic, I guess, we need to be a little less harsh on ourselves and find worthiness in ourselves.
In the beginning, I mentioned that words have power, yes, they do have power, whatever you say for yourself can come true, so why not to encourage? What are we so mortally afraid of? Why do we go down on ourselves?
Life is hard enough as it is, right? You don’t need additional hurdles, don’t create artificial limits for yourself, don’t give yourself pointless reasons for ‘Why you can’t have it?’ Instead, look for ‘How you can have it?’
Above all, your self-talks matters a lot, so always make sure that you’re saying positive words to yourself, treat yourself as you would treat your best friend and always expect positive results and when you encounter a failure, don’t treat it as a failure, treat it as an opportunity to get better and grow.
